The GAME
September 22nd, 2007 and March 29th, 2008
Based roughly on The Amazing Race (with a little Secret Agent Man), The Game is a one-day Event where teams of four to six people race each other around Atlanta solving clues, achieving feats and trying to outsmart the competition. Guided by Game Control, the group of actors who shape their experience, these teams play to win. The clues are embedded in theatrical performances staged around the city, sometimes in theaters, and sometimes on the street or inside businesses, so that the audience never knows for sure who is part of The Game and who is not. By interacting with monuments, parks, historic sights and other places of interest where they must gather hidden clues, participants experience Atlanta like they never have before. Out Of Hand Theater produced The Game in the fall of 2006 and the spring of 2007 to enthusiastic, sold-out crowds.
