A cross-cultural collaboration with artists from New York/Thai dance theater Witness Relocation, Youth Ensemble of Atlanta and Out Of Hand Theater. Contemporary German choreographer Thomas Lehman’s Schreibstuck asks 3 separate companies to explore the most essential themes of human life, including belief, death, love, work and dance, and then bring them together on a single stage. Schreibstuck is not a score of dance moves, but a succession of themes ripe for interpretation organized into a canon of 1 minute slices and assigned to specific areas of a stage.
"Anyone who has seen a performance by Out of Hand Theater knows the young East Atlanta-based troupe often blurs the line between actor and audience in its efforts to attract a new generation to live theater." - AJC
