THE CDC MUSEUM: TRUSTED MESSENGERS EXHIBITION

FEATURE-The David J. Sencer CDC Museum in Atlanta is presenting an exhibit titled Trusted Messengers: Building Confidence in COVID-19 Vaccines Through Art through March 2023 to raise awareness and build vaccination trust in the wake of the pandemic.

The exhibit was created by CDC Museum curator Louise E. Shaw in collaboration with the CDC foundation and the National Endowment for the Arts, and features a collection of pieces from over 600 artists across the nation. According to the CDC Foundation blog, the works of art are also representative of the communities where they originate from, including pieces from the West Michigan Center for Arts + Technology, the Vermillion Cultural Association and Creative Care from South Dakota, and the Saint Louis Stitchers. These artists express the theme of vaccination trust in various styles, including posters, puppets, murals, music videos, and even live performances.
